Glass manufacture Harzkristall

The Harzkristall glass manufactory in Derenburg is one of the few glassworks still in production in Germany. Only a few kilometres from Wernigerode, the glass manufactory combines experience, adventure, recreation, fun and culinary enjoyment in one place.

In the guided tour "ManufaktOur" you will learn everything you need to know about glass and experience the ancient craft of glass making with all your senses. Feel the glowing heat of the melting furnace up close and blow your own lucky ball right next to the glassmaker at the furnace. Or have your handprint made from glass (for dates see homepage) - guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience!

On the lovingly designed outdoor area, a park oasis with a waterfall and our hut garden with a view of the Brocken invite you to linger. The huge adventure playground makes children's hearts beat faster, because they can play and romp undisturbed.

In our shopping worlds you will find glassware in all imaginable shapes and colours on more than 2,500 m². Two year-round Christmas exhibitions and the large lighting studio leave nothing to be desired. You will be enchanted!
